babies T & J || cesarean birth story {photos}

I have a beautiful slideshow of a twin birth at George Washington University Hospital today. Mama S had a cesarean with her first, and she was hoping to VBAC with these sweet babes, but little girl T (baby A) had different ideas as she stayed breech. Mama did everything she could including switching care providers multiple times and seeing an incredible chiropractor, Dr. A., throughout her pregnancy, and then her courage to go ahead with the cesarean once her water broke around 39 weeks was incredible. It is no easy thing to give up something you have wanted for a long time, but it was incredibly brave to say yes, please cut me open again so that the babies will be safe. We had an awesome team at GW, of course, and they made things a little bit easier for mama S. These little babies (and older brother!) are so so lucky to have parents who are so caring and respectful of them. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this sacred space <3
